Job Description

As a Staff Software Engineer- Full Stack for the Bangalore VSCB (Visa Spend Clarity For Business) org, you will be part of the application team, which handles all its client’s expense spend management solutions, creating dashboards, creating and managing Virtual Cards. Deliver a multi-year roadmap that leverages Gen-AI capabilities to accelerate knowledge discovery and issue resolution, driving value to clients and our business.

As a Full Stack Staff Software Engineer, your day will be filled with absorbing, learning, and mastering multiple VSCB applications, their architecture & functionality. Not only will you be building new unique and sophisticated solutions for our clients, but you will also contribute to exciting technology upgrades and tech initiatives.

Essential Functions:

You will develop, test, and deploy sophisticated business solutions that process 100s of thousands of requests with our business partners and their developers.
Understand the requirements/design changes properly and solicit guidance from business and technology collaborators across the enterprise to deliver app features/user stories and create a strategy plan to deliver a quality Product.
Be responsible for the code quality & deliverable quality of large-scale product & technology initiatives.
Perform Test Driven Development using Java, Angular, Node, etc
Conduct peer reviews for your code and others code and JUnit test cases.
Handle root cause analysis for bugs and production issues and track defect resolution to completion.
Understand the complexity of Client-centric applications.
Great communication skills. Comfortable working with product, architects, and team members directly on requirements and problem resolution.
You will analyze business requirements and architect a solution that is robust and scalable along with providing user documentation of the solution.
You’ll develop and deliver new features every few days/weeks and be accountable for them end-to-end.
Have a passion for delivering zero defect code.
Help developer efficiencies by utilizing Continuous Integration/Development tools, test automation frameworks, and other related items.
Work in Agile/Scrum teams and follow the guidelines.
Collaborate with global and virtual teams throughout the software development life cycle.
Work with cross Persist Team’s scattered Geo located to overlap Functions and delivery.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

6 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g.
Master, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Knowledge of one or more technologies: Java, Kubernetes, Angular2+, React, Node, spring-boot, Oracle/SQL database.
Knowledge of Android and iOS
Great Troubleshooting Skills mostly, love to get your hands dirty, and problem-solving.
You have experience in application development frameworks like Spring, ORM, Android iOS, etc
Test-driven development experience in the software industry is a major plus.
Knowledge of NoSQL DB, Splunk, and Tableau, is a plus.
Relevant experience with software design, architecture, and development life cycle
Experience in consumer-facing application development is a plus.
