DaVita is searching for empathetic and driven Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) who are ready to take care of patients at outpatient dialysis centers. The major role of this position is to provide considerate and excellent care to patients suffering from end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. However, no prior dialysis experience is required as comprehensive paid training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient care is to be performed directly and individually during dialysis sessions, and the patient’s comfort, safety, and hygiene are to be ensured.
- Before, during, and after treatment, patients are to be monitored, as well as vital signs to be measured and recorded, patient conditions to be observed, and the hemodialysis machine setup to be managed.
- To instruct patients about kidney dialysis matters and to establish long-term relationships with them.
- To perform the duties in a coordinated manner with the cross-functional teams. Besides the nurses, dietitians, and social workers, there will be other PCTs.
- While working with blood, needles, and dialysis chemicals, always observe safety procedures.
- Operations at other clinics can also be helped if necessary, such as during the training and work assignments, by being at the location.
