Google Cloud is looking for an experienced Customer Engineering Manager to lead the customer engineering teams working with State, Local, Municipal, and Education (SLED) sectors. The position is the one responsible for releasing subject matter experts who not only offer trusted technical expertise but also provide solution guidance so that the cloud adoption, workload migration, and transformation get accelerated for customers.
Core Tasks
- Along with leading the team of Customer Engineers, guide the staff, thereby managing a culture that reflects values such as high-performance and growth orientation.
- Conceptualize the talent strategies and skills enhancement programs so that the customers’ desired objectives of cloud transformation are fulfilled.
- For a start, get familiar with primary customers’ needs; as a leader, provide them with the required knowledge about cloud solutions, industry trends, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with Google Cloud Sales management to craft the best technical go-to-market plans for the geographical location you have been assigned.
- Hold the meetings reviewing workloads and opportunities to engage the teams in the discussion of technical agreements, migration strategies, and operational execution.
- Work jointly within the company structure with other Google teams and partners, as well as with external stakeholders, to iron out technical issues and lift the adoption rate by resolving the barriers.
- Try to integrate technical leadership with operational excellence, thereby making sure that business objectives and customer satisfaction are kept in harmony.

- Exposure to the software life-cycles, scalable distributed systems, AI/ML sphere, including Generative AI, as well as cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge in team leadership, sales administration, account identification, quota establishment, and productivity management.
- Proficient in making technical presentations to co-workers, executives, and decision-makers, thereby increasing company revenues.
